Student Achievement Measure (SAM)
In November 2013, UMD became one of the first institutions in the state to participate in the Student Achievement Measure (SAM). SAM is a joint initiative led by several higher education associations to comprehensively examine college success rates using information from the National Student Clearinghouse (NSC). SAM allows institutions to represent not only their traditional graduates, but also students who have transferred elsewhere and graduated, and who are still enrolled here or elsewhere.
